Hess is rapidly building a substantial position as a key supplier of pipeline gas in Southeast Asia.

Our Ujung Pangkah development offshore East Java is a vital component of that strategy. The Phase 1 gas development came on stream in April, 2007, and the Phase 2 oil development is underway. Opportunities in Jakarta

♦ Senior Safety Engineer
Provide safety engineering advice and expertise through: planning, preparing and conducting risk analysis, safety engineering design, process engineering review; safety facilities, equipment and instrument review and modification; HAZID, HAZOP, QRA, JSA and other related risk assessment; conducting general risk assessment, safety design and engineering review; leading and following up HAZID/HIRA, HAZOP, FERA, QRA, JSA and other related risk assessment;

University graduate in Engineering with 5 to 7 years in oil arid gas safety experience including more than 3 years managing and leading a team for Risk Assessment (HAZID, HAZOP, QRA, FERA, SIL and SIMOPS), certified to lead Risk Assessment teams.

♦ Operations Technical Assistant
Provide technical support and advice to engineering and management team to maximize the operations efficiency.

University graduate or Masters Degree in an appropriate technical discipline with 2 – 8 years experience in a similar role, preferably with an oil and gas operator. Strong IT skills in all MS applications. Advanced MS Excel, Access, OFM, Procount, PI, and Visual Basic experience would be clear advantage. General awareness of oilfield practices such as well testing, process operations and production optimisation. Experienced with data handling and administration.

The positions below will initially be based in Jakarta, then will be assigned to our Project locations.

Project disciplines for engineering graduates with a minimum of 15 years oil and gas industry experience and at least 7 years in similar roles:

♦ Deputy Construction Superintendent (Offshore)
Management and day-to-day supervision of Company personnel and monitoring of EPCC contractors and supporting sub-contractors associated with the fabrication and assembly of the offshore O&G process facilities and supporting systems and utilities.

♦ Senior Structural Engineer (Offshore)
Responsible for detailed design and direction of offshore O&G related structural facilities engineering work, including review of contractor work; perform in-house detailed design reviews with very strong hands-on working knowledge of SACS software; manage work flows, communicate with Project Engineer and cross-functional project team.

♦ Installation and Commissioning Superintendent (Offshore)
Management and daily supervision of Company personnel and monitoring of Contractor planning, engineering and execution of the installation and commissioning of complex O&G Greenfield and Brownfield facilities and infield flowlines.

♦ Mechanical Static Engineer (Offshore)
Provide engineering advice during the project development and execution phases in the areas of mechanical static, package and rotating equipment design.

♦ Assistant Project Engineer (Offshore)
Report to the CPP Senior Project Engineer. Responsible for providing project assistance during the development and execution phases of the project.

♦ Electrical Engineer (Offshore)
Provide electrical engineering advice during the project development and execution phases in the area of electrical engineering and technical support through Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication and Installation/Commissioning activities.

♦ Instrument Engineer (Offshore)
Provide recommendations, input and direction during the development and execution phases of the project and technical support through Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication and Installation/Commissioning activities.

♦ Senior Process Engineer (Offshore)
Provide advice during the project development and execution phases in the area of process engineering. Reviewing commissioning plans and procedures and provide technical support to construction and commissioning activities.

♦ Senior Piping Engineer (Offshore)
Provide recommendations, input and direction in relation to contractor performance in the areas of equipment / piping layout and design, and review of piping documents and specifications to ensure Contractors compliance with the agreed scope of work in order to facilitate progress and achieve fitness for purpose. Provide technical support through Engineering, Procurement Fabrication and Installation/Commissioning activities.

♦ Commissioning Supervisor (Offshore)
Responsible for overseeing the quality of planning, coordination, maximizing efficiency and maintaining safety of contractor performance of hook-up, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities of offshore O&G processing and other facilities to meet Company start-up requirements.

Opportunities in Gresik

♦ DCS Coordinator
Provide technical support to field maintenance teams in instrumentation and electrical equipment and systems maintenance, improvement and modifications.

Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering with 10 to 15 years experience in oil and gas operations. Ability to use, develop and configure PLC, DCS and SCADA systems, knowledge of gas plant and offshore operations would be a clear advantage. Proven track record of working with and programming Honeywell systems is desired.

♦ Plant Operators
Provide continuous control and monitoring of oil, gas and LPG processing plant operations, maintaining the production of specified quantity and quality of product under safe and efficient operating practices, and ensuring well maintained process equipment.

Diploma (D3) major in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years experience in oil and gas plant. Experience with permit to work systems, safety, process, mechanical, and electrical equipment operations and first line maintenance.

♦ Technicians (Electrical, Instrument, Mechanical)
Perform all preventive, predicative and corrective maintenance on a variety of electrical/instrumentation/mechanical equipment on an oil, gas and LPG processing plant. Minimize down-time of all equipment and complete work within specified time frame using planned maintenance and continuous improvement processes

Diploma (D3) major in Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechanical, with at least 5 years experience in oil and gas industries. Experience in the maintenance of LPG process plants and equipment desirable. Familiar with Hazardous Areas Classifications and its installations. Extensive experience with a variety of electrical/instrument/mechanical equipment is required.

All positions require fluency in written and spoken English and computer literacy.
