Resourcing Manager

Overall Role Purpose

Professionally manage the recruitment function that enables DHL to continuously improve the quality of staff to meet it’s resourcing requirements for today and the future. To source candidates through innovative and cost effective means that strengthens DHL’s position as a preferred employer.

Requirements:

* University degree
* 3-5 years relevant HR experience.
* Professional HR affiliations (HR Institute of Management or equivalent)
* Psychometric Testing and Assessment Centre qualifications
* Excellent facilitation and training skills
* Project management skills
* Excellent Software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
* Excellent communication in English written and spoken

Accountabilities:

Human Resources Planning:
Plan, review and forecast human resources requirements to recruit the required number of employees, with the required skills, at the required time.

Reporting
Provide comprehensive reports to record cost of recruitment, source, cost of advertisements and retention periods of new hires.

Vacancies Advertisements/Notice
Plan and coordinate external/internal advertisements to target a suitable pool of candidates through appropriate channels, taking advantage of new technology where appropriate. To ensure advertisement aligns to the marketing brand position and incorporates DHL’s values and benefits to position DHL as an employer of choice.

Inter-Department Movements:
Co-ordinate, support and recommend transfers and promotions transition arrangements and ensure fair practice is carried out.

Staff Turnover:
Effectively manage the exit and responsible to report all resignations and terminations of employees

Management of Personal Files:
Oversee the organisation of personal filing system

Budget:
Manage the recruitment and advertising cost line to ensure it is within budget and where possible look for cost saving initiatives.

Staff Management:
Train, coach, monitor and motivate HR staff in their job responsibilities to ensure a high level of quality support is extended to Management and staff.

Recruitment Policies and Procedures:
Ensure that employee selection and appointments are carried out in a structured and systematic approach to meet HR policy, local legislation and managed in a cost effective way to meet time requirements.

Quality of Recruitment Practices:
Use selection methodology that enables DHL to test the candidate’s ability and match, such as structured interviews, behavioural based questions and psychometric tools.
Train line managers and resourcing executives on techniques to ensure a high quality of standard is achieved.
Continually review and improve the services and efficiency of recruitment agencies in managing contract staff at a lower cost savings
